We offer our clients two levels of fire safety consultancy, standard service and advanced; the content of the Fire Risk Assessment for both levels of service is identical. This ensures that our clients receive the best possible service that meets their organisational requirements and legal obligations.
All our assessments are qualitative in design and format, following the 5 step risk assessment process as recommended by the Health and Safety Executive and the Employers’ Guide Published by the Home Office. Our risk assessments would also satisfy the recommendations of PAS 79:2007, the Publicly Available Specification – Fire Risk Assessments Guidance and a Recommended Methodology.
Using our 160-question audit process, combined with many years of fire safety experience, ensures that our clients’ premises are adequately assessed for fire risks to life, property and business continuity.
A full and detailed consultation is available following the fire risk assessments to discuss any significant findings and required actions to achieve a satisfactory standard of fire safety within the organisation.
This includes the conducting of the fire risk assessment following the 5 step risk assessments process as recommended by HM Government guidance documents, HSE and the guidance documentation issued by Fire and Rescue Services:
Our fire safety risk assessment audit process covers in excess of 160 questions to identify any significant findings. These are recorded and a risk analysis conducted to arrive at a risk rating. A comprehensive action plan is then produced with realistic time scales for completion and review, providing the client with a range of options to meet their legal obligations and ensuring the most appropriate cost benefit solution. All our fire risk assessments include a fire emergency plan as required by the Fire Safety Order 2005.
Extensive research is then undertaken and references made to relevant Guides, Codes of Practice and British Standards. The fire risk assessment is then sent to the client as a professionally bound document and also emailed.
Our Advanced Consultancy Service includes all of the above plus:
We also offer a Fire Safety Partnership programme, which works alongside organisations that already have internal Fire Safety expertise but want to engage external support.
At Total Fire Services, our experienced and qualified fire safety consultants currently offer professional, BAFE Approved Fire Risk Assessments across North West England including Manchester, Warrington, Lancashire and Merseyside. Even if your organisation is located in any other part of Northern England, we are also able to serve Yorkshire and the North East.

“I would like to personally thank you for your prompt response to my initial enquiry to undertake a Fire Risk Assessment at our Manchester premises. Your response time and professionalism are a testament to your company and are to be congratulated. The assessment that you prepared is first class and has been invaluable in our quest for compliance with the local Fire Officer. He, too, was extremely impressed with the assessment and the resulting action points. You delivered over and above my expectations whilst working to extremely tight time deadlines.
I would have no hesitation in recommending your company to anyone wishing to ensure their compliance with Fire Safety Regulations. I will definitely be using your company again in the very near future.”

What they say
"Due to internal resource issues we at Chessington World Of Adventures were struggling to meet our commitments of having "suitable and sufficient" fire risk assessment for all of our buildings and Rides on site. Meeting the challenge of maintaining our continued commitment to having "suitable and sufficient" fire risk assessments in place for all of our buildings and Rides on site required us to search for a competent third party supplier who could deliver our needs at a reasonable cost"
