Phillip is a senior fire safety consultant and project manager for Total Fire Services - a North West based fire consultancy service company, based in Bolton.
Philip's fire service career commenced in 1978, with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service. He was employed in the roles of operational fire fighter, leading fire fighter and sub-officer until 1989. The following 15 years he specialised at Station Officer rank within varying Fire Safety departments within the County. During this time he was the licensing officer for the Trafford Metropolitan area that included liquor licensing, public entertainment, theatres, cinemas, outdoor events and sports grounds including Manchester United Football Club, Lancashire County Cricket Ground, Sale Rugby Football Ground and the Commonwealth Games.
During the construction of the Trafford Centre Shopping Complex he was an integral part of the team dealing with the commissioning of Fire Engineering Systems and licensing requirements.
It was also his responsibility to ensure smooth liaison between all parties during the major refurbishment and construction work at the Manchester City Centre Arndale Shopping Complex.
Following Philip's retirement from the Fire Service he has acted on a part time consultancy basis for Isoquar Ltd as an expert Fire Advisor during their Quality Management Systems Audit of Manchester International Airport Fire and Rescue Service under ISO 9001 2000.
He is currently employed as a Senior Fire Safety Consultant for TFS Ltd. In this role he acts as the project manager for major projects and conducts and audits Fire Risk Assessments in a wide range of premises.
